Launder Altar Linens

Wash towels, purificators, albs or other linens, pick up laundry during week, return for week-end, specific instruction sheets given on how to launder, treat stains, wash purificators, etc. Extra towels to wash for Baptisms.

Altar Server - Age 10 or older -Contact Person:  Kay Duford
Serve at Mass on Sunday and other Holy Days/celebrations; age 10 or older. Training provided. Get sub when necessary.

 Presider for Special Liturgies

Volunteers are needed to lead prayer when no priest is available or when it is not necessary for a priest to lead prayer. Prayer Presiders may be called on to lead prayer at various occasions outside of Mass. Training provided.

Ministers of the Eucharist

Distribute Communion during week-end liturgies/Holy Days.

Usher

Greet people as they enter church, help to find seats, assist elderly/ physically challenged, set-up/take down chairs in lobby, take "count" during mass in section, clean section after mass, collect worship aids. Assist with special areas during seasonal liturgies-Christmas, Easter, Holy Week, etc

Greeter

Singles, couples, families (all ages) are needed. Arrive 20 minutes early for Mass and greet people at doors, assist newcomers. Hospitality is important before Mass, to greet everyone personally. An outgoing personality is a must, with a smile for everyone. Friendly, welcoming.

Lector

Proclaim the Word at Liturgies, attend rehearsals for special liturgies, get a sub when necessary. Training provided.

Choir Member

Like to sing, reading music helpful, Wednesday Eve Rehearsals 7:30 p.m., Choir sings 9:00 a.m., Sundays other Seasonal Days.

Cantors

Good voice and diction, vocal training helpful (also reading music), lead assembly at week-end masses. Solo certain songs.

Instrumentalists

Play instrument for Masses or other events. Looking for advanced musicians, high school and older.

Adults to assist at Funerals
Contact Person: Kay Duford
Assist at funerals in the role of acolyte (altar server) or as needed. Funerals are usually during the week. Adults willing to serve in this ministry need to be available during the day on weekdays. Lectors and EM's also needed.

Artists for specific Projects

Do you have special talents that could help with special projects? Sometimes we need the advice and assistance of people with a gift in art to set the environment for a specific event or celebration. Maybe to set the environment to celebrate Pentecost. Or an ecumenical Thanksgiving Service? Volunteers may assist with one or two projects during the year, a project of their choosing.

Seamstresses for Projects

Parishioners sew baptismal garments for persons baptized at the Easter Vigil. They sew altar cloths and at times vestments, special drapings for seasonal environment, etc. If you have sewing or embroidery skills, or enjoy working in this ministry, let us know. It is helpful to have a list of persons who a willing to help out when needed! Call us or write us a note to let us know of your special interests!

Make Baptismal Garments

Buy fabric, cut baptismal garments, sew and decorate.

Bread Bakers

Bake Eucharistic Bread for various occasions. (Easter, Holy Thursday, First Communion, Pentecost, etc). Recipe and training is provided.

Art & Environment

Assist with decorating the church for major feasts: Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, etc. 

Office Assistance

Assist in the Worship Office with copying, making phone calls, helping with mailing, filing, general office work on an as needed basis.
