PARISH TEN YEAR MASTER PLAN AND GOALS STATEMENT
In November of 2001, the St. Daniel Parish Pastoral Council adopted a Ten Year Master Plan. The seven parts of the plan are: 1. Population Growth of St. Daniel Parish; 2. The Social Landscape of the St. Daniel Population; 3. Parish Ministries; 4. Religious Education of Children; 5. Evangelization; 6. Stewardship of Time, Talent and Treasure; and 7. Parish Outreach. The Pastoral Council continues to work at the implementation of the Master Plan. The total document is available from the Parish Office.
The following long range Parish Goals adopted by the Pastoral Council on July 30, 1996 are still in effect:
1. Given the fact that our parish continues to grow, St. Daniel Pastoral Council through its Commissions will provide opportunities to bring the community together in an atmosphere of friendship and hospitality so that people will get to know each other better.
2. St. Daniel Pastoral Council through its Commissions will continue to call forth parishioners to minister to each other in the spirit of stewardship and will provide opportunities for them to share their God given gifts of time and talent in an organized manner.
3. St. Daniel Pastoral Council through its Commissions will develop an effective outreach to non-participating membership and to alienated Catholics according to a direction reflected in our Vicariate Pastoral Planning Study.
4. The Commissions of the Pastoral Council will use all means of modern communications to reach as many people as possible, and strive to perform its operations more efficiently.
5. The Commissions of the Pastoral Council will provide that opportunities and activities will include all members of families.
6. The Pastoral Council and its Commissions will give a preferential option for the poor; engage in positive directions to eliminate racism and all forms of discrimination; and, support the teachings of the Catholic Church regarding all of the issues of life and Catholic Social Teachings in its Council Commission goals, objectives and action plans.
